Nov. 27 (UPI) — A bunch of as a lot as 30 of us swarmed thru a Handiest Elevate retailer in Minnesota on Gloomy Friday, stealing electronics before police arrived, authorities talked about.

The retailer in Burnsville, Minn., about 20 miles south of downtown Minneapolis, became as soon as robbed shortly after 8 p.m., the Burnsville Police Department suggested WCCO-TV.

Burnsville police Capt. Don Stenger talked about no weapons were considered and no injuries were reported, the Megastar Tribune reported.

“We do no longer know exactly what became as soon as taken or the dollar price,” Stenger added.

Authorities also talked about a smaller group of thieves also broke into one other Handiest Elevate in the St. Paul, Minn., suburb of Maplewood.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday morning.

The Minnesota incident is solely like a rash of brazen “smash-and-clutch” robberies by organized groups just no longer too long ago reported in California.

Los Angeles police arrested three of us Monday after a group of at the least 20 broke true into a Nordstrom department retailer at The Grove browsing middle. Surveillance photos from the scene confirmed the thieves used a sledgehammer to spoil a window and enter the retailer.

Police in Walnut Creek, Calif., arrested three of us a day earlier after a group of about 80 broke into and ransacked one other Nordstrom retailer.

Handiest Elevate CEO Corie Barry talked about earlier this week that increasingly brazen and violent thefts are affecting firm earnings and making it tougher to attend workers.

Organized thieves are wielding weapons akin to a weapons or crowbars in increasingly frequent attacks, she suggested CNBC.

“These are stressful experiences, and they are going down increasingly across the nation,” Barry talked about.
