Harvey Keitel Amongst 5 Actors Boarding Hulu’s Mike Tyson Sequence (Peculiar)

Hulu’s small sequence about Mike Tyson, Iron Mike, is rounding out its solid.

The eight-episode sequence, which stars Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight) as the damaged-down heavyweight champion, has added Harvey Keitel, Laura Harrier, Grace Zabriskie, Olunike Adeliyi and TJ Atoms to its solid. All will occupy routine roles in the drama, which is in the interim in manufacturing.

Oscar nominee Keitel (Pulp Fiction, The Irishman) will play Cus D’Amato, Tyson’s first coach, mentor and at final adoptive father. Harrier (Netflix’s Hollywood) will play Robin Givens, the actress and Tyson’s first important other who is handsome and outspoken.

Zabriskie (Twin Peaks, Tremendous Fancy) performs Camille D’Amato, Cus’ important other who considers Mike a son — and is tremendously tremendously greatly surprised when Robin confronts her about Mike paying her mortgage. Adeliyi (Workin’ Mothers, The Expanse) will play Lorna Mae, Mike’s mother, who’s been hardened by a system designed to construct her down. Atoms (Wu-Tang: An American Saga) performs Barkim, a thief and early buddy of Mike’s who recognizes the young boxer’s abilities.

Iron Mike comes from Disney’s 20th Tv and the crew at the relieve of I, Tonya — screenwriter Steven Rogers, director Craig Gillespie and basic person/producer Margot Robbie. Karin Gist (Our Kind of Of us, Mixed-ish) will inspire as showrunner. Tyson himself has criticized the sequence, announcing it’s unauthorized and “a high instance of how Hulu’s corporate greed led to this tone-deaf cultural misappropriation of my existence legend.”

Tyson is collaborating with Jamie Foxx, director Antoine Fuqua and executive producer Martin Scorsese on an authorized miniseries about his existence, which is being shopped to potential traders.

Rogers, Gillespie and Gist executive plot alongside with Gist’s producing accomplice Claire Brown of The Gist of It; Clubhouse Photos’ Bryan Unkeless and Scott Morgan; LuckyChap’s Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie; Entertainment 360’s Darin Friedman; and Anthony Hemingway, Anthony Sparks, Samantha Corbin-Miller and Rhodes.
